We have broken ground on creating an iPhone app for a client using RedLaser’s bar code scanning SDK.
Ethervision has purchased code in the past to enhance the functionality of one of our apps and I will say this: RedLaser is the real deal. The smart folks at Occipital completely nailed the bar code scanning functionality using a private call to Apple’s video codec.
As most groundbreaking apps are, RedLaser was approved in the app store quickly, but other bar code scanning apps were not. Since then, that has changed and now the SDK is being approved for other bar code scanning apps.
